My father spent his entire career as a production artist in a direct mail house on Washington Avenue in downtown St. Louis. I grew up at his drawing table, playing with retired Pantone swatch books and t-squares. I inherited his attention to detail and desire to dismantle and rebuild inefficient systems. I also inherited his eye for beauty and color.

As a child and teen, I was equally strong academically and artistically, but felt called to graphic design, before I really knew what it was. My design professor at Drake University opened my eyes to the difference between decoration and problem-solving. I began my professional career as an intern at his company in Des Moines, working on publications for Meredith Corporation.

Life lead me down the path of wife and mother, which took me out of agency world and into my basement, where I maintained a thriving book of business while raising three beautiful daughters.

In 2011 I took a chance on an ad in the local paper and stepped back outside the home as a custom stationery designer. This was just the reminder I needed that I love what I do, and wanted to return to full time employment.

When not working I have a passion for renovating spaces, irreverent cross stitch, long, long walks, laughing with friends and loving my family.
